Amy Elson

Amy L. Elson joined Blackwell, Burke & Ramsey, P.C. as an Associate Attorney in May 2019. Amy is a 1998 graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Following completion of her J.D., Amy worked in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as an associate attorney specializing in insurance defense and business litigation. She then returned to Indiana University—Bloomington to pursue graduate studies in United States History with a focus on United States Legal History and Gender Studies. In 2008, Amy resumed practicing law with a focus on consumer bankruptcy litigation and further enhanced her litigation experience by representing creditors in state and federal secured creditor litigation and bankruptcy litigation. She later served as the Associate Director of the nationally-recognized Hall Center for Law & Health at the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. She re-entered private practice in February 2018, focusing on construction litigation, business litigation, and representation of health care providers in medical malpractice litigation.
